We are ❄️SNOW❄️ thankful for the best staff around! We enjoyed spreading some ☀️Sunshine cart☀️ cheer on Friday!

The results are in! 6 MORE WEEKS OF WINTER! Bundle up DES! Make sure to check the lost and found to find those missing jackets and gloves.

Prek had snow much fun today ❄️ ⛄️To wrap their snow unit up they made snowmen, created snowflakes, played snowman bingo, and got to have a snowball fight. What better way to celebrate the snow unit!

If you live in the Dacusville area and have a child birth to 4 that does not attend DES already, come join us tomorrow morning at 8:15 a.m. for Toddler Time!

📱 Revised Personal Electronic Device Policy: Beginning January 2025 📱
Under a new South Carolina policy, schools are required to limit students' access to cell phones and other personal devices during the school day. The School District of Pickens County has adopted a revised Personal Electronic Device Policy to comply with state law (Budget Proviso 1.103).
✔️Devices must be silenced and stored in lockers, backpacks, or other designated areas throughout the instructional time.
✔️Devices include but are not limited to, cell phones, smart watches, tablets, and gaming devices.
We encourage parents to discuss this policy with their children and support its implementation when we return in January. Thank you for partnering with us as we implement this required policy.

Up on the rooftop Chappy Climbs
Causing mischief one last time.
Down the hallways, clickety clack.
Everyone wonders when Chappy will be back!

The Nutcracker: starring CHAPPY the ELF! Let’s see if you can find chappy tonight at the mini musical for K-3 grade, you don’t want to miss it! Just remember elves are like real people only way more fun!

We had so much fun today bringing a little joy and Christmas spirit to the community in the Dacusville Christmas parade. Huge shout out to Carmen Cole and Caitlin Cummings for putting together our float and to Ms. Cummings' dad for pulling the gingerbread village along the way! #dacusvilledifference

The Grinch and the Gingerbread man and the Elf… Oh My!

We had a special visitor to check on our elf today. Friends were touching him yesterday, and he was too sick to play. But have no fear, Santa was here. So our elf will soon be back to spreading holiday cheer!

Run, run, as fast as you can! 🏃♀️ Our toddlers had a wonderful time making gingerbread creations and munching on yummy snacks! Join us for the next toddler time on January 29 at 8:15 AM!
Toddler Time is made possible because of Women United Pickens County.

Rain or shine…
Our elf was helping in the car line.

Last Thursday morning we celebrated our November Distinguished Dolphins by giving them 30 minutes in our game room! We are so proud of these students for demonstrating our positive character strengths and an Other People Mindset! Way to go kiddos! #dacusvillegrown

Elf Chappy was on the move today,
But in person, he stayed out of the way.
Only the cameras caught his cheer,
Spreading magic far and near! 🎄✨
